Faith in motion - this was the motto of the Pilgrimage in 2014.125.000 pilgrims in all came to Aachen on 10 days of pilgrimage to take part in the event. 60.000 of them took part in the pilgrim services.15.000 seized the opportunity to visit events of the cultural programme. In the center of interest were the cloth relics, which the pilgrims could see at close hand in the Cathedral. The Pilgrimage was a joyful celebration of faith for young and old. It brought together pilgrims from all over the world.From the neighbouring dioceses in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, from countries in Europe up to Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, but also from the partner country Columbia, from Kenia and China, from Folriada and from cities as far away as Moscow, New York and Cape Town. Bishop emeritus Heinrich Mussinghoff stressed: "We were able to set people into motion in their faith."
